Many elders love dry dates but can't bite them anymore. Our date sugar is the same kharik, ground fine, so it stirs straight into warm milk. In Maharashtra, kharik pud also goes into dinkache ladoo, the sweet families make for new mothers.

Date sugar is dried dates ground into a fine powder. Saanjh date sugar (Kala Kharik and Safed Kharik) is 100% dried dates with no added sugar, so you can use it in chai, warm milk, porridge, ladoo and baking in place of white sugar.
What is the difference between Kala Kharik and Safed Kharik?
Kala Kharik is made from black dried dates and tastes deep and caramel-like, which suits warm milk, ladoo and kheer. Safed Kharik is made from golden dried dates and tastes milder, which suits chai, coffee, children’s porridge and baking.
Is date sugar sugar-free?
No. It has no added sugar, but dates are naturally sweet and contain natural fruit sugars. If you are diabetic, pregnant or under medical care, ask your doctor before using it.
Does Saanjh mukhwas contain supari or tobacco?
No. Saanjh Gulkand Paan and Bhuna Dhana are supari-free and contain no tobacco.
